Last call for Breeders Crown first-season stallions

by Moira Fanning, publicity director, the Hambletonian Society

Cranbury, NJ — April represents the last chance for stallions standing their first commercial season in 2014 to be nominated to Breeders Crown No. 31.

This is the program for foals of 2015 to be made eligible to the $5 million championship series.

The conditions allow for first-year stallions to be made eligible to the program as long as the advertised stud fee and any surcharges are paid within 60 days after the stallion first breeds a mare.

After the 60-day deadline has passed for new stallions, all stallions can still pay into the program up to Dec. 31, 2014, accompanied by an array of late fees and penalties.

For complete conditions refer to this link.
