Morrisville, NY — The Morrisville Sale would like to remind breeders that sale entries close this Friday (May 20).

The sale will be held on Sept. 17 beginning at 12 noon.

This will coincide with the New York Excelsior finals and the 3-year-old New York Sire Stakes consolations to be held later that evening at Vernon Downs, located just 15 minutes from the Morrisville Sales facility.

As a convenience to the purchasers and consignors, a brunch will be served starting at 10 a.m. Anyone who purchases a yearling will be allowed to leave their yearling at the sale facility until Monday if needed.

The Morrisville College students greatly appreciate hosting the sale and making industry contacts with the consignors. These industry connections often lead to internships and further employment for our students. The New York breeding and racing program has been a strong economic supporter of the Morrisville Equine Program for many years.

Our 2015 sale had the highest average of any sale in the state. The sale average was a 43 percent percent increase from the 2014 sale. It is anticipated that demand this year again will be strong.

The 2016 sale will include consignments from Crawford Farms, Lakeview Equine, Allerage Farm, Stein Racing Stable, Preferred Equine Marketing, Brook Meadows Farm, and Cherry Hill Farm.
