Last call for PA Yearling Prep Seminar

Columbus, OH — Time is running out to register for the USTA & Pin Oak Lane Farm Yearling Preparation Seminar on Saturday, August 1.

There is no seminar fee for USTA members; non-members may attend for a small registration fee of $25. Please call Jessica Schroeder at (877) 800-8782, ex: 3212 or e-mail jessica.schroeder@ustrotting.com to sign up. Enrollment will be limited, so registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

The seminar will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., with a sandwich lunch served. This seminar is aimed at the boutique breeder to help them prepare their yearlings for sale but anyone interested may attend. Topics will include preparing, feeding and exercising the yearling, stake nominations, advertising, final sales preparation and what to do at the sale.

Pin Oak Lane Farm , located one hour south of Harrisburg and 2-1/4 hours west of Philadelphia, serves both Thoroughbred and Standardbred interests. They stand two Standardbreds at their Maryland division (Straight Up Lindy and Up Front Charlie) and 10 Thoroughbred stallions at the Pennsylvania farm. Owner Dr William Solomon, who established the farm in 1973, was previously the resident veterinarian at Hanover Shoe Farms and Castleton Farm.
