Wilkes-Barre, PA — Pancleefandarpels and Winbak Dimensions turned in the fastest times in the first legs of late closing series at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Monday (October 15).

Eight late closers will highlight the last few weeks of the 2007 harness racing season at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

In one of three divisions of the Bret Hanover-Adios Vic Series for 3- and 4-year-old fillies and mares that were non-winners of $25,000 life or non-winners of six extended pari-mutuel races, Pancleefandarpels stopped the timer in 1:52.4 as the prohibitive favorite.

Winners in the other divisions for the gals were Bunny Ruffles (Marcus Johansson) with a time of 1:55.4 and Lauren Order (Mike Simons) in 1:56.2.

Trained by Bruce Baker and driven by Tom Jackson, Pancleefandarpels is now two-for-two at the Northeastern Pennsylvania racetrack with identical times in those wins.

Winbak Dimensions, trained by Mickey Peterson and driven by Jackson, also has won two straight at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs after his 1:51.4 score in the Red Sox-Yankees Pace.

Three other division winners in the Red Sox-Yankees Pace for horses, colts and geldings that were non-winners of $50,000 in 2007 through August 31, were Mini Me (Jim Taggart, Jr.), 1:53.1; Yoee Excels A (Simons), 1:52.4; and Theredandpanlines (Ted Wing), 1:53.2.
