Dover, DE — Late Mail N delivered a narrow 1:51 victory in Thursday’s (Dec. 10) overnight feature at Dover Downs, a $13,000 winners-over pace.

Tim Tetrick landed the 7-year-old Bettor’s Delight gelding in the pocket behind Calvin K, who cut fractions of :27.2, :56 and 1:23.2. Up the backstretch, Robbie Burns N mounted a first-over charge with 4-5 favorite Slick Tony shadowing second-over before being forced three-wide on the far turn when Robbie Burns N started to tire.

With room in the stretch, Tetrick eased Late Mail out of the pocket, and they won confidently by a half length. Sweet Sun Daze (Russell Foster) rallied for second; Slick Tony (Montrell Teague) finished third.
