LBJ Society and OHHA clarify yearling nomination payments

Grove City, OH — The Little Brown Jug Society and the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association have clarified that 2021 Ohio sired foals registered by May 15, 2022, will have their yearling payment made, making them eligible for the Grand Circuit events at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.

It was originally announced that the payment would be made for all 2021 foals registered by Dec. 31, 2022.

The date change coincides with the due date for non-Ohio sired.

The Grand Circuit races include the Little Brown Jug, the Jugette, the Old Oaken Bucket and the Buckette.

Future eligibility payments for these Ohio sired are the responsibility of the owner.

Foals born in 2021 that are not registered by the May 15, 2022, deadline may be made eligible by the owner through late nomination fee of $250 payable by Aug. 15, 2022, or a supplemental nomination fee of $400 due on or before March 15, 2023.
