Leerhsen on Lexington radio station Thursday morning

Lexington, KY — Charles Leerhsen, author of Crazy Good, The True Story of Dan Patch, the Most Famous Horse in America, will be a guest on radio station WVLK-AM 590 in Lexington, Kentucky, this Thursday, September 25, at 8:45 a.m.

Leerhsen will talk about the harness racing star that lived and raced extensively in Lexington a century ago. The opening chapter of the book deals with a record attempt at The Red Mile.

Leerhsen will be in Lexington on Friday evening, September 26, reading from the book and signing copies at a benefit cocktail party to be held at the Stable of Memories, also known as the Round Barn, a Lexington landmark. The event, starting at 6:30 p.m., includes a bourbon tasting and $75 tickets are available by calling (859) 619-7122.

Leerhsen will also be at The Red Mile for Saturday’s races, signing the book from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. All proceeds benefit the preservation and upkeep of the Round Barn.
