Little Green Jug set for Sunday at Dresden

Dresden, OH — Delaware, Ohio is home to one of the best known and most exciting harness races in North America, the Little Brown Jug. Dresden Raceway is ready to host the first annual Little Green Jug on Sunday.

The Little Green Jug is for everyday regular overnight horses as the conditions for this year’s race are horses and geldings who are non-winners of $2,000 lifetime (non-winners of a race in last five are allowed $3,000).

Justin’s Deere is the 8-5 morning line favorite for owner Larry Ainsworth. Ian Hyatt is the conditioner for the 3-year-old Major In Art gelding who is driven by Donnie Rankin Jr.

Ncutsnbuttsncocnuts is the second favorite with Dennis Duford at the helm. The 4-year-old roan Up Front Ben horse is owned by Rubeen Lilley and John and Betty McKinnon while Fred Snelgrove is the trainer.

In other racing action on the day Big Diva will be looking for her third win in a row at Dresden Raceway for owner Sherri Abbott, trainer Mike Roger and driver Brad Forward. Big Diva will have to beat Brittany Kennedy’s Callmeinthemorning in the 10th race to pick up her third win. Callmeinthemorning is driven by Andy Moore.

Patrons are asked to wear green on Sunday in honor of the Little Green Jug as there will be many giveaways and contests. Post time is 1:30 p.m.
