Littlebagoftricks, Stealing Bases sweep DSBF prelims

Harrington, DE — Rich Lombardo, Charles Cochran and Josh Green’s Littlebagoftricks ($2.20, Russell Foster) continued her dominance of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund 3-year-old pacing fillies Tuesday (June 22) at Harrington Raceway with a 1:56 win in the second $20,000 leg of stakes action.

The Roddy’s Bags Again filly reeled in pacesetter Cinder’s Baby in the stretch for a two-length win, completing a sweep of her DSBF preliminaries. Hey Hey Dbay was third. Littlebagoftricks, whom Green trains, has won seven of nine lifetime starts.

Jo Ann Looney-King’s Stealing Bases ($2.40, Tim Tetrick) also completed a sweep of her divisions with a 1:57 win over Tobago Time and Rowdy One. The Roddy’s Bags Again filly controlled the tempo for trainer Jim King Jr. and earned her seventh career win.

The final DSBF split went to O’Marrow’s Stock Farm, Lombardo and Green’s Seboomook Beauty ($2.80, Montrell Teague) who scored a three-length win in 1:59.4 over Believethismary and It’s Turtle Time. Like the prior two DSBF winners, Seboomook Beauty was also sired by Roddy’s Bags Again and achieved her first career win.

Allan Davis, Montrell Teague, Russell Foster and Tony Morgan all had driving doubles.

Wednesday (June 23) will feature five DSBF second-leg divisions for 3-year-old trotters. The $100,000 finals will be contested on July 29, during the Delaware State Fair.
