Jann Logue wanted to write a children’s book to introduce harness racing to children.

The result is Roll On Buddy, a motivational story about a Standardbred who may not be a world record holder, but always puts forth his best effort.

Logue’s book is going to be featured in the October issue of Youth Beats.

She is also going to have tables set up at Balmoral Park this Saturday, September 15, for Illinois Super Night in order to market the book.

“My children’s book shows the process of Buddy learning to trust (my son and his caretaker) Nick, training to race, and wanting to please Nick,” said Logue. “It’s a story about always doing your best, being proud of each and every one of your accomplishments, and the rewarding feelings that follow.”
