Look Sharp, 31, dies

from Hagemeyer Farms

Clarksville, OH — It is with sadness and a heavy heart that Hagemeyer Farms announces the passing of Look Sharp.

A staple stallion for more than 25 years in Hagemeyer Farms breeding, Look Sharp died July 17, 2014. He was 31. He has been laid to rest at his lifetime home — Hagemeyer Farms in Clarksville, Ohio.

During his career, Look Sharp sired 41 $100,000-plus winners and has 58 with records of 1:55 or better.

One of his most recent accomplishments is the 3-year-old pacing filly Paydaze On The Way, p,2,1:56h ($120,710), out of Shantytown Girl.

Paydaze On The Way won several legs of the 2013 Ohio Sire Stakes and had the fastest record in Ohio in 2013 for 2-year-old filly pacers. She is now racing in the Ohio Sire Stakes as a 3-year-old and is currently second in the point standings.

Look Sharp’s last two foals are currently residing at Hagemeyer Farms.

Look Sharp was a large part of the Hagemeyer family and he will be sorely missed.
