Look To Book back on top at Northfield

After being denied in her bid for three Mares Open wins in a row at Northfield last week, Look To Book started another streak Friday, rallying from the back of the pack to score in 1:57 as the 1-2 favorite. Trainer Mark Deaton called on his brother Elliott to pilot the three-year-old Nobleland Sam filly, who moved three-wide at three-quarters and then nabbed Polo Jenn in deep stretch. Bacon Hill Dannie, last week’s winner, finished third. Gerald Goldberg of Pepper Pike owns Look To Book, who won for the12th time in 30 seasonal starts and pushed her 2006 earnings to $57,427.

Deaton won five races on the card as provisional driver Tony Rose picked up his first local win with Tornado Island and Mark Headworth earned career victory 1,996 with Jancia in the 10th,
