Six straight for Nuclear Breeze

from Meadowlands Media Relations

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Nuclear Breeze [$4.20, $3.20, $2.40] extended his winning streak to six with a last to first move on the turn for home in the $35,000 winners over pace, the featured fifth race on Saturday night at the Meadowlands.

Although the four-year-old had consistently raced and won when cutting fractions, the scenario changed this week when he came from last in the six-horse field to win by a length and a half over Tarver Hanover [$9.20, $4.00]. It was two and three-quarter lengths back to Village Jate N [$4.80] in third.

Nuclear Breeze, driven by Brian Sears and trained by Roger Hans, paced the mile in 1:51.1 for his tenth win in 15 starts this year. His winning streak began on November 7 at Rosecroft Raceway in Maryland, with the last four at the Meadowlands.

The son of Nuclear High – Radiant Breeze is owned by his breeder, Thomas Cooke of Rockville, Maryland. He has career earnings of $224,632.
