Looking back at Bold Eagle’s emotional Breeders Crown victory

Cranbury, NJ — The journey began exactly a month ago, when Bold Eagle and his caretaker Hugues Monthule boarded a horse van in the French countryside. The pair made their way to the airport in Frankfurt, Germany, flew into Toronto International on Oct. 19 and were ensconced in the woodsy, overgrown Mohawk backstretch by the first race on Breeders Crown elimination night.
