Hall of Famer Lou Guida has another trotting star in the 3-year-old Italian filly OK America.

Guida is also the breeder of this very talented filly, who has raced eight times, winning five races, and total of $102,032. So far OK America hasn’t finished off the board in her races.

After her win in the Gran Premio Citta di Napoli Filly, with a purse for the winner of $54,000, OK America ranks as the fifth most winning Italian 3-year-old filly so far in 2011. She holds a mark of 1:58.4f.

OK America, who is trained by Jerry Riordan, is sired by Andover Hall and out of Zagabria Dei by Victory Dream. Zagabria Dei earlier brought the top international trotter Lisa America — she by Varenne — who Guida also bred and still owns.

Lisa America is going to race on Saturday in the Kymi Grand Prix at Kouvola in Finland. This is the eighth leg in the European Grand Circuit series, which at present has Italian trotter Libeccio Grif as the leader.

A field of 10 trotters are entered in Kouvola. Lisa America, who will have Torbjörn Jansson of Sweden in the bike, has drawn post position six. The French trotter Rapide Lebel with Eric Raffin is the likely favorite. He will race from post position two. The distance is 1-5/16th miles and the total purse is $260,000.
