Louis Brigandi, 82, dies

Columbus, OH — Longtime horse owner Louis J. Brigandi Sr., 82, of Hicksville, N.Y., died April 19, 2015.

Mr. Brigandi campaigned his horses, including 1987 New York-bred stakes winner National Way, on the New York circuit and enjoyed jogging horses at Roosevelt Raceway.

He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen; loving father of Ann Huggins (Wally), Louis Jr., Keith (Debbie) and the late Bonnie; dear brother of Angie and Artie, Anthony and the late Loretta, John and Gerry, Nicky and Ronnie and Jane. Mr. Brigandi is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Wednesday (April 22) and Thursday (April 23) from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, Hicksville Chapel, 47 Jerusalem Ave. (corner of W. Marie Street). Mass on Friday (April 24) at 9:45 a.m. at St. Ignatius R.C. Church. Entombment in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
