Columbus, OH — Louis Rapone, Jr., 60, died May 30, 2013.

Mr. Rapone drove and later trained Standardbreds for many years. The star of his barn was the popular Western New York trotter Speed Pilot 5,1:57.4f ($224,049).

He is survived by his wife, Carole; father, Louis Sr.; sister, Betty Lou (Tom) Buckley; brother, Francis (Nancy); nephews, Chris and Aaron Buckley; niece, Jennifer Allums; three stepchildren; and five stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Aquino; and brother, Patsy.

Friends may call on Monday (June 3) from 4-7 p.m. at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. His Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday (June 4) at 10 a.m. at St. Columba Church, Caledonia. Private Interment.
