Luck Be Withyou and Fort Knox added to auction in final days

Edgerton, OH — The Defiance County (Ohio) Area Horsemen’s Association has added the Indiana pacing stallion Luck Be Withyou (Western Ideal-Trim Hanover) and the Illinois pacing stallion Fort Knox (American Ideal-The Art Museum) to their list of stallions in the final days of their silent auction for free breedings.

Luck Be Withyou stands at Maple Lane Farm of Grabill, Ind., while Fort Knox performs his duties at Tom Tetrick Farm of Geff, Ill.

Luck Be Withyou and Fort Knox join the four Ohio trotting stallions Celebrity Express (Andover Hall-D Train), Expressive Action (Conway Hall-Yetta’s Angel), Global Republic S (Muscle Hill-Serene Yankee), and Winning Fireworks (Credit Winner-Fireworks Hanover), the Indiana pacing stallions Lost In Time (A Rocknroll Dance-Summer Mystery) and Riggins (Art Major-Towner’s Image), the Indiana trotting stallion Helpisontheway (Chapter Seven-Porque), and the Illinois trotting stallion Dejarmbro (Credit Winner-Armbro Deja Vu) in the auction.

Bids on all stallions close at 5 p.m. on Saturday (April 4). At that time, the person with the second-highest bid will have the opportunity to raise his or her bid. The bidding will continue between the two highest bidders until one drops out.

The winning bidder on each stallion must pay the Defiance County Area Horsemen’s Association 10 percent of the winning bid or $100, whichever is greater, before the mare is bred. The winning bidder must pay the Association the balance of the winning bid when the mare foals in 2021.

Bids on all stallions may be phoned to Bill Peters at 419.298.7408 or e-mailed to trudypeters@williams-net.com.

Any breedings not receiving successful bids by 5 p.m. on April 4 may still be available after that date.
