Briarcliff Manor, NY — Preferred Equine Marketing has announced that Austin Luttrell will be joining the industry’s leading sales agency’s staff as an account and recruiting manager, according to Preferred’s David Reid.

Luttrell has a background in both the Standardbred and Thoroughbred industries.

After graduating from Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky., Luttrell was an assistant trainer for the well-known Thoroughbred operations of Christophe Clement and Kiaran McLaughlin, and was a manager at Denali Stud and Donamire Farm. He also worked for Magic Millions in Australia as a bloodstock consultant.

Luttrell has owned, bred and trained Standardbreds, winning his first race as an owner/trainer at his hometown track, the Red Mile.

He also formed and managed the successful partnership named “Cats by 90, LLC” with more than 60 friends who raced in Kentucky and Ohio.
