Northville, MI – Lying in Cash (6 g by Aracache Hanover – Jokerslitlwhitelie – Cam’s Last Laugh) rebounded to victory Saturday night (April 30) capturing the $10,800 Open 1 Pace in a 1:55.3 score over rival  Don’tcallmefrancis (9, g by Rocknroll Hanover – Nanny Withafanny – Incredible Finale) who finished second with the lone mare Princess Rougarou finishing third.

Driver Jason Merriman positioned the eventual winner in front, came under heavy pressure going to three quarters, fought off all challengers and never looked back giving Lying in Cash his 20th career victory. Jason Merriman is beginning to close the gap on his 3,000th driving win (currently with 2,904 wins, just 96 away).

Schedule change for Kentucky Derby Weekend

Kentucky Derby weekend, Northville Downs will race its live programs on Thursday (May 5) and Friday (May 6) instead of the usual Friday and Saturday race nights in an effort to maximize the ability to run a successful live race date with the increased business done during Derby Day. The normal Friday-Saturday schedule will resume the following weekend (May 13-14). First race post time remains 7:30 p.m. each night.
