Campbellville, ON — Driver Paul MacDonell took both divisions of the second leg of the In Free Trotting Series at Mohawk Racetrack on Monday night, July 26.

As Ya’ll Like It was a 1:58 winner in the first division of the second leg of the In Free Trotting Series.

As Ya’ll Like It delivered in the first division for MacDonell. The Yankee Glide-Almond Joy miss left from post three and was positioned second behind Quantum Victoria and driver Karen Carroll through the opening quarter of :28.3. Quantum Victoria took the field past the half in :59.1 and three-quarters in 1:29 before releasing the lead to As Ya’ll Like It down the stretch. MacDonell used a :29 final quarter to win by over a length in 1:58.

John Bax trains and co-owns the filly with Glengate Farms, Karen Debnam and Don Allenssen. As Ya’ll Like It paid $5.80 for the win.

Miss Janine captured the second division after finishing second but being placed first. MacDonell steered the daughter of Angus Hall-Miss Michelle H into fourth through the opening quarter of :30 set my Quantum Glideingby. As the field headed towards the half-mile, Quantum Glideinby gave up the lead to Finaltab Hanover and Dancin Darlin. Dancin Darlin took over command through the three-quarter pole in 1:30.1. Miss Janine was following in fourth down the stretch when Dancin Darlin and driver Jack Moiseyev went off stride. Quantum Glideingby and driver Steve Byron went on to win.

Quantum Glideinby finished first over Miss Janine and Savanah Dream but was placed last after going inside three consecutive pylons at the half-mile maker. The final finish saw Miss Janine being placed first with Savanah Dream second while Imish Playmate completed the triactor.

MacDonell co-owns the filly with PC Wellwood Enterprises and Charles Armstrong. She paid $12.30 for the victory.
