By Credit Fashion, out of the Yankee Glide mare Champagne Magic, the 3-year-old filly trotter got away seventh and pulled first up after the :28 opening quarter. Flushing cover from Lady Resort AS (Chris Page) at the :57 half, Magic Credit Card followed that cover past the three-quarters 1:26.2. Midway down the stretch Smith fanned her wide and just got up to beat Lady Resort As by a half-length. Littlesammy (Shawn Barker II) got up for third.

The even money favorite paid $4.20 to win. The win pushed Magic Credit Card’s lifetime earnings to $43,550.

The Konesky final was the second of four finals held for the non-winners of one series for 3-5-year-olds named after Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association past presidents/general managers. Each series consisted of two legs and a final.

The $15,600 final for the Steve McCoy (for female pacers) will be on Friday (May 28), while the final for the Jerry Knappenberger (for male pacers) was postponed until May 31 due to part of the race card being canceled when the second leg was conducted. The Kevin Greenfield (for male trotters) was won by Fire Cross on Wednesday (May 26) in 1:56.

Live racing at Scioto Downs will deviate from the normal Tuesday-Saturday schedule next week when a special Memorial Day card will be held on May 31 instead of the Tuesday card. Post time will still be 6:15 p.m. View the entire 2021 racing schedule here.
