Maharajah colt tops Swedish online sale

You may have heard about the play by Samuel Beckett named Waiting for Godot. On the Menhammar Online Sales held Sunday (July 10) somebody waited for Godot — a colt sired by Maharajah who was catalogued as number 41 out of 43 trotters.

The bidding was intense, but at the end trainer Conrad Lugauer got the winning bid of 2,050,000 SEK — or $194,000.

Godot is the third foal from Hanna, she by Muscle Hill, who had earnings of 335,800 SEK.

The first foal from Hanna is Escada, sired by Readly Express, who took a mark as a 2-year-old of 1:57f and has earnings of 506,000 SEK.

Second highest price, $125,000, was paid for Getting Rid Of, a colt sired by Walner and out of Rub it Out, she by Going Kronos.

Most expensive filly was Great Pride, sired by Maharajah and out of Dea Pride, she by Ready Cash, who sold for $95,000.
