Maharajah was honored at his home track on Saturday afternoon.

Maharajah was presented at the grandstand and the public had the opportunity to come very close to Sweden’s most popular trotter at present.

Maharajah will have his next start in the Olympic Trot on April 19, but until then he will be at stud at Menhammar, the legendary stud farm owned by Margareta Wallenius-Kleberg.

Maharajah stands for $10,000 live foal.

Saturday night Swedish harness racing had their awards dinner and trainer/driver Robert Bergh was a big winner as he won five awards. He was named Trainer of the Year and from his stable Nahar, who won the Elitlopp, was named not only elder Trotter of the Year, but also Horse of the Year. Also, the 3-year-old filly Amazing AM was named not only the winner at her age and sex, but was also named Filly/Mare of the Year.

A special honor was given to Margareta Wallenius-Kleberg as she was named an honorable ambassador of Swedish harness racing.
