Maine harness racing gives back

Augusta, ME — Sponsored by Scarborough Downs and the Maine Harness Horsemen’s Association, get to the track for a day of giving on Sunday (Oct. 30).

See the brothers driving competition with drivers’ purse money donated to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of York County, an amateur driving race to support The Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals and the Mildred Williams International Driving Series for women drivers to benefit the Maine Cancer Foundation’s Tri for a Cure.

The day will also feature a driver autograph session; special event t-shirts selling for $10 each, with the proceeds going to the charities; and a 50/50 cash raffle.

Plus, enter to win a two nights stay at the Samoset Resort on the ocean in Rockport, Maine. Prize package includes two rounds of golf on their 18 hole championship golf course, breakfast buffet and dinner for two at their new LaBella Vita Ristorante. Chances are just $5 each and 100 percent of the proceeds go to all three charities.
