Majestic Mistress wins Harrington featured trot

Harrington, DE — Frank Chick’s Majestic Mistress ($6.80, Mike Cole) was a 1:54.3 winner in the $15,000 Open Trot Tuesday (Aug. 28) at Harrington Raceway.
The 5-year-old Majestic Son mare was a recent acquisition and had an impressive performance in her local debut for trainer Kevin Lare with a front-stepping and dominant victory over Drazzmatazz and Murmur Hanover. It was the second win of the season for Majestic Mistress and the ninth of her career.
Driver Victor Kirby had the hot hand once again. After a four-win night on Monday, he followed up with another grand slam Tuesday.
In the $11,000 Open II Trot, Bill Emmons’ Battle Mage ($7.40, Russell Foster) was a 1:57.2 winner for trainer Eric Ell, who was celebrating a birthday. All Shoes On Deck was second with I’m So Striking third.
Drivers Mike Cole, Art Stafford Jr., Montrell Teague and Ross Wolfenden each won two races.
