Major updates to Harrisburg Mixed catalog

Hanover, PA — Results from the Breeders Crown eliminations last weekend at the Meadowlands have added yet more firepower to an already strong Standardbred Mixed Sale. Several dams and siblings of Crown elim winners are slated to sell in the Thursday (Nov. 11) breeding stock session at Harrisburg.

To further enhance the updates, many of the “live” pedigrees are mares selling in foal to Walner; and the industry is well aware of his exploits. He leads all sires in 2021 freshman trotting earnings, with more than $3.5 million earned by his first crop of 2-year-olds.

In the Warrawee Farm dispersal on Thursday, Sound Check, the young dam of Breeders Crown 2-year-old colt trot elim winner Testing Testing 2,1:53.4 ($43,025), sells in foal to Muscle Mass.

There are also two other big updates in that dispersal, as both the dam of and a sister to Open Trot prep winner Warrawee Roo 1:51.2 ($777,548) are slated to enter the auction ring. His dam is in foal to Trixton, while his half-sister sells in foal to Walner. The dispersal is to be offered by Preferred Equine, agent.

The dams of two other 2-year-old Breeders Crown elim winners will also sell in the mixed.

Cashaway, the dam of Niki Hill’s 2-year-old filly pace upsetter Queen Of Success p,2,1:50.3 ($91,397), sells in foal to Downbytheseaside, making her resulting foal a three-quarter sibling to Queen Of Success.

Also selling is Jolie De Vie, the dam of 2-year-old filly trot elim winner Lilbitalexis 2,1:52.2 ($146,362). She is in foal to Walner, making her foal of 2022 a full brother or sister to Lilbitalexis.

The mixed sale supplement also has a powerful contingent of mares, led by a large 17-head reduction from storied nursery Lindy Farms. Lindy continues to add to its resume by having bred impressive winners of the Breeders Crown 2-year-old colt trot and 2-year-old filly trot elims, with Branded By Lindy and Raised By Lindy, respectively.

The Standardbred Mixed Sale follows the company’s Nov. 8-10 yearling sale at Harrisburg’s Farm Show Complex.

The catalog for the yearling sale — along with the catalog and updated racehorse past performances for the mixed and mixed supplement — is now available at theblackbook.com and on the Equineline app.
