Majorca N wins at Dover in her U.S. debut on Wednesday night

Dover, DE – Dover Downs on Wednesday (March 16) night. Majorca N was making her first U.S. pari-mutuel race debut. She had qualified at Dover Downs previously in 1:55.4 Betting favorite Shes Pukka N and Tony Morgan set race fractions of :26.3 :56.3 (:30) 1:24.4. (:28.1)

Driver Tony Morgan and Shes Pukka N appeared to have sealed the deal with a :30 second quarter, racing to the half. Disturbed Hanover moved first-over down the backstretch. Majorca N shadowed her cover and was second-over on the rim approaching the three-quarter marker. Feeling Sweet sat the pocket. At the top of the stretch Majorca N and driver Corey Callahan left cover and circled four-wide, steamrolling past the field late.

Majorca N ( Art Major) won by a half-length in 1:52. She paid $18.60 for the win. She is owned by Michael Casalino Jr of NJ and Dylan P Davis of Delaware. Dylan Davis trained and Corey Callahan drove.

Majorca N paced her individual last half in :53.4. Her last quarter was :26.3. Disturbed Hanover, finished second for trainer W. Bart Dalious. His son Barton Dalious drove. Feeling Sweet finished third for trainer Joe Columbo. Mike Cole drove.

In the $32,500 Preferred Handicap Pace on Thursday night, Penzance Hanover is seeking his fourth win in a row. Competition should come from Let It Ride N and Sprocket. Let It Ride N won his last start in 1:48.3 at the Meadowlands. Sprocket won three starts back in 1:48.2 at Dover Downs. It is scheduled for the sixth race.

Tim Tetrick had three wins on the betting card.

There is a $1,523 Pick-5 carryover starting on the 6th race. There is also a $1,337 Pentafecta carryover on the 13th race.
