Mandy Jones has big week in Ohio Ladies Pace Series

Edgerton, OH — The Ohio Ladies Pace Series had a busyfive days with stops at four Ohio fairs. It got underway at the MontgomeryCounty Fair in Dayton on Thursday (July 13) where Mary Birkhold guided the 6-year-oldgelding E R Myron (Dontgetinmyway-Like A Melody) to a winning mile in 2:05.Kelly Gower pays the bills on E R Myron with Steve Livingston doing thetraining.

The rest of the week belonged to Mandy Jones. She pickedup wins at Wellston on Friday (July 14) with Say Hey Adam (May ISay-Stonebridge Eve), at Hilliard on Sunday (July 16) with Bruno Michael(Armbro Deuce-Orillia Sadie), and at Oak Harbor on Monday (July 17) with RockMe Please (Rocknroll Hanover-Please Me Please).

Say Hey Adam paced a mile in 2:06 for his victory. The 3-year-oldgelding is owned by Brian and Mary Georges with Brian also performing thetraining duties.

Bruno Michael stopped the timer at 1:59 in his win. MandyJones and Jason Moore share the expenses on the 6-year-old gelding with Mandy’sfather, Brian Jones, doing the conditioning.

The 10-year-old gelding Rock Me Please had to pace a milein 1:58.2 in order to visit the winner’s circle. Mandy Jones is the sole owneron Rock Me Please with Brian Jones being the trainer.

After the Ohio Ladies Pace Series visiting nine fairs,Mandy Jones is the leader in points with 257. Emily Hay is second with 160points.

The next stop for the Series will be at the FayetteCounty Fair at Washington C.H. on Saturday (July 22). That will be closelyfollowed by the Union County Fair at Marysville on Sunday (July 23) and theSeneca County Fair at Tiffin on Monday (July 24).
