Dover, DE — If you missed the Feb. 15 deadline for other circuits in Ohio or have recently bought a colt or filly that wasn’t staked anywhere, you still have a chance to nominate your colt or filly to some of Ohio’s finest fairs. Thursday (March 1) is the deadline for nominations to the 10 fairs in the Southern Valley Colt Circuit.

Just one payment of $500 (no sustaining payments) makes your colt or filly eligible to all ten fairs in southeastern Ohio — Wellston, Piketon, Athens, Zanesville, Rock Springs, Woodsfield, Caldwell, Marietta, McConnelsville and Old Washington. If you don’t want to nominate to all 10 fairs, you may nominate to individual fairs for $75 per fair. There is also a $35 membership fee per owner and this will give you a pass to all of the fairs on race day.

Payments need to be postmarked by March 1 and mailed to Rod Newhart, Secretary, Southern Valley Colt Circuit, 1700 N DuPont Hwy, #G-101, Dover, DE 19901.
