Martz Time wins second straight open at Dover

Dover, DE — It was déjà vu again in the $18,000 Open trot at Dover Downs on Wednesday, Dec. 10 Prayer Session made it four in-a-row winning the $13,500 Winners-Over trot. Corey Callahan collected four winning drives.

As last time, Andy Miller moved Martz Time into the lead early and dictated the pace on the way to a 1:54.2 victory in the week’s top trot. The Triple Lindy (Vic Kirby) streaked from last at the three-quarters past horses to finish a strong second while consistent Baximum (Allan Davis) took third money. I’m So Striking was scratched reducing the race to six starters.

John McGill and Brian Carsey own Martz Time, an altered son of Primetime Ranger-Beccas Best, now a seven-time winning this season earning $118,700.

Corey Callahan made the winner’s circle four times, Allan Davis, Montrell Teague and trainer Carlo Poliseno had two wins.
