Maryland governor rescinds executive order that closed racetracks

Columbus, OH — On Thursday (June 11), Maryland Governor Lawrence Hogan announced that he is rescinding his executive order of March 15, 2020, closing racetracks in the state, effective at 5 p.m. on June 19, 2020.

The order states, “subject to applicable Local Orders and Secretary’s Directives,” casinos, racetracks and simulcast betting facilities including harness tracks Rosecroft Raceway and Ocean Downs are included.
