Berlin MD — The Maryland Standardbred Race Fund is pleased to announce the highest total purses to be distributed in our stakes program since 2001.

The Maryland Racing Commission approved a budget of approximately $2.1 million.

The Maryland Sire Stakes for 2- and 3-year-olds received the largest increase with the finals going for $75,000 for each age/sex/gait at both Ocean Downs and Rosecroft and all preliminaries will be going for $10,000.

The 4- and 5-year-old Open stakes will race for a total of $100,000 split over their four races and the Maryland Standardbred Fund (foaled) Stakes will see a slight increase also.

All 2022 race info will be posted on the website (www.msrfonline.com) as it becomes available.
