Maryland Sires Stakes and track records Sunday at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — A second straight 21-race Sunday (Sept. 22) marathon produced Maryland Sires Stakes and track records at Rosecroft Raceway. Driver Allan Davis had a big night with five wins on Sunday.

Yall Beneath Me, a freshman trotting colt by Googoo Gaagaa, torched his own stakes and track record, taking the lead from the start and getting home in 1:54.4. Russell Foster has handled the youngster in all six starts for owner-trainer Richard Hans.

Jordons All In set a new standard for 2-year old pacing geldings, taking the lead early from stablemate Nvrfearlloydishere, and winning in 1:52.1. John Wagner bred and drove the Rusty’s All In offspring for Pamela Wagner and trainer Arlene Cameron.

Corey Callahan made an appearance on the non-betting portion of the card, driving I’d Be Rich to a win in 2-year-old filly pace company. The daughter of Rusty’s For Real, bred and owned by Nick Callahan, won easily in 1:57. Shaun Callahan trains the winner who won for the first time.

Davis won his first race of the night with Andy American, a 2-year-old trotting colt by Andoversure, who won in 1:58. Andrew Harris conditions the colt who won for the third time in six starts for owner-breeder Robert Key.

Lockkeeper continues to breed success in Maryland. Freshman filly trotter K J Andrea won for the fifth time in seven starts in 1:59.4 as Wagner picked up his second non-betting driving win.

Toms All In won a freshman pacing male division for Eddie Davis Jr. in 1:55.

Breeze Away B took a distaff pacing division for driver Robert White and owner-trainer William Fletcher in 1:55.3.

Cate’s A Keeper rounded out the non-wagering card, as as she won in 1:57.3 with Eddie Davis Jr. in the bike.

Once under the lights, Rosecroft had some of its strongest Sunday action, where Allan Davis continued the Davis dominance on the night. Davis won with Luck N Roll K, Sword Ofthe Spirit, Rock N Row, and Rollin Ring Afire.

The $10,000 Open Handicap Trot went to Home’n Dry ($7.80) and Tyler Davis who made every quarter pole call in the lead in 1:55.3. Brian Malone trains the winner for Peter Venturini. Whitesville Dixon (David Hill III) was second and Judge Bob (Jonathan Roberts) was third.

The $11,750 Open Handicap for pacers went to Diamondkeeper ($6.20) in a bold first over effort, wearing down pacesetter Bettorever in 1:51.3. JW Renegade (John Mackinnon) rallied for second. Bettorever (Tony Morgan) held for third.
