Maven has been sidelined in Sweden due to some problems with a leg.

Plans were to race her in the Aby Stora Pris this Saturday afternoon (Aug. 15) and Jimmy Takter would have driven her himself, but she was never entered in the race.

Maven’s stablemate, Creatine, is going to race next Wednesday (Aug. 19) at Solvalla in the Jubilee Prize, a race for 5-year-old trotters with a purse for the winner of $125,000. Johnny Takter will be in the sulky behind Creatine.

On the same card Nuncio, driven by Stefan Melander, will race in a leg of the Solvalla Series for 4-year old trotters.

The 2013 Hambletonian runner-up Smilin Eli won his first race in Sweden Thursday night. Trainer/driver Daniel Redén was in the bike behind Smilin Eli, who was an easy winner at Ôrebro in a 1-5/16th mile contest. He was timed in 1:55.4.f (mile rate). The purse for the winner was $4,000.
