East Rutherford, NJ — Meadowlands Racetrack has added a new, four-week series for 3-year-old pacers to its summer racing schedule.

The Summer Survivor Series, which begins June 2, is for non-winners of two pari-mutuel races or $25,000 lifetime as of May 1, 2011. (Winners over $75,000 lifetime are ineligible). The series consists of two preliminary brackets and a semi-final round that will narrow the competition for an estimated $100,000 final on July 2.

The $550 nomination fee for the Summer Survivor Series is due Thursday, May 19. The stakes application is available under the Horsemen Section of MeadowlandsRacetrack.com.
