Meadowlands adjusts wagering format

from the Meadowlands Media Relations Department

East Rutherford, NJ — The Meadowlands Racetrack is announcing a small change to its wagering format that will take effect when live racing resumes this Saturday (Nov. 11).

With the start of the Pick 10 Survivor on race one, the 50-cent Pick-5 will be moved back to start on race two to avoid overlap between the two wagers. In addition, the early Pick-4 will move back to start on race four and the late Pick-4 will now start on race eight.

The guarantees for all four wagers will remain in place. The Pick 10 Survivor will carry a $10,000 guarantee, the Pick-5 and early Pick-4 will have a $25,000 guarantee, and the late Pick-4 will have a $50,000 guarantee.

“As we continue to see how the new Pick 10 Survivor plays out, we wanted to make sure that our other multi-race wagers were not being stepped on,” explained Jason Settlemoir, Meadowlands COO/GM. “With these changes, we hope horseplayers will be able to focus on each multi-race wager.”

Live racing resumes Saturday (Nov. 11) with a 12-race program beginning at 7:15 p.m.
