Meadowlands cancels live racing, open for simulcasting

East Rutherford, NJ — Due to heavy snow, the Meadowlands has canceled its live racing program for Friday, February 22. However, the Meadowlands and Favorites at Woodbridge remain open for simulcasting.

The two stakes scheduled for Friday night’s card, the $88,700 Cape and Cutter and $62,200 Tender Loving Care, will be raced on February 29.

Live racing at the Meadowlands resumes Saturday, February 23. The 13-race card features three stakes — $81,500 Junior Trendsetter, $75,700 Exit 16W and $71,800 Aquarius — and a $50,000 guaranteed Pick 4. Post time is 7:00 p.m.

Registration for NHHC qualifying tournament extended

Due to the cancellation of live racing and severe weather conditions, the Meadowlands has extended the registration period for Saturday’s NHHC Qualifier.

Players who wish to register for the handicapping tournament in person may do so between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, in the track’s marketing department. Online registration by credit card will be available through 11:00 a.m. Saturday on the Meadowlands’ Web site at this link.
