Meadowlands draw Tuesday for Friday/Saturday

East Rutherford, NJ — The Meadowlands returns to live racing this week, starting with a Thursday (Sept. 1) card that was designed to accommodate the second leg of the Kindergarten series and drew eight divisions.

For the weekend, the New Jersey Classic Series for 3-year-old trotters will take up a few races on Friday complemented by a full slate of overnights for both nights and there will be plenty of overnight opportunities.

There are six short series for 2- and 3-year-olds that will have two legs and a final, including $50,000 claimers for 3-year-old pacing colts and fillies, all for inflated purses. There are also a few new classes written along with the money classes and TrackMaster races.

The New Jersey Classic Series offers two levels of competition. Enter your horses in the desired level, A or B, on the condition sheet. Any horse that made all of the payments and is listed among the eligibles may race in either level.

Call the Race Office at 201.842.5130 with questions.

Enter by 9 a.m. Tuesday for the Friday and Saturday cards.

The condition sheet is online.

Drivers notes

Any drivers wishing to compete during The Meadowlands Fall and Winter meets, including the September races, must apply by emailing JSettlemoir@PlayMeadowlands.com before they are able to drive any race.
