Meadowlands drops mask and temperature mandates

East Rutherford, NJ — After careful consideration and guidance from the CDC, the Meadowlands Racetrack and FanDuel Sportsbook will no longer require staff and guests that are fully vaccinated to wear masks while inside the grandstand. Those that are not vaccinated will still be encouraged to wear a mask.

This new policy begins Friday (Feb. 11).

Also beginning Friday, temperature checks will no longer be conducted on Meadowlands and FanDuel staff members.

“We are seeing COVID numbers dropping and feel that it is the right time to remove our precautionary mask and temperature mandates,” stated Jason Settlemoir, GM and COO of the Meadowlands. “We continue to ask guests to remain home if they have COVID symptoms. We thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation.”

The Meadowlands will continue to frequently wipe down all high touch surfaces throughout the day and also encourage everyone to socially distance when possible and use the available hand sanitizer stations throughout the building.

Information on racing, dining, events and the FanDuel Sportsbook can be found at PlayMeadowlands.com.
