East Rutherford, NJ — On June 15, the Meadowlands Racetrack hosted a feed the hungry event in partnership with Feed the Children, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending child hunger. Working with Feed the Children, local volunteers will distribute meals and supplies to more than 400 families.
Poverty hurts nearly one in seven American children, making it difficult for them to get nutritious food that helps them grow healthy and strong. Feed the Children focuses on providing hope and resources for those without life’s essentials by connecting donors, experts, partners, leaders and communities to attack the problem from all angles.
In addition to Feed The Children, the Racetrack partnered with Concord Hospitality Enterprises and the Meadowlands Family Success Center & Veterans Services to distribute the meals.
“Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment is an important piece of the community here in New Jersey and one of our main goals is to work with our neighbors to make a meaningful impact for the people who live here,” said Jason M. Settlemoir, Meadowlands General Manager and COO.
