Meadowlands Saturday live racing canceled; track open for simulcasting

East Rutherford, NJ — Live racing at the Meadowlands is canceled for Saturday (Feb. 13) due to the extreme cold and wind chill forecasted for Northern New Jersey.

“After consulting with the SBOA of NJ President Mark Ford and some of the drivers here at the New Meadowlands Racetrack, in the best interest of safety for both our human and equine participants we feel it is necessary to cancel live racing,” stated General Manager Jason Settlemoir.

The Meadowlands and Winners Bayonne will remain open for both day and night simulcasting. For Saturday’s full simulcasting schedule visit www.playMeadowlands.com.

Victory Sports Bar will also open at 5 p.m. Saturday as scheduled and featuring a special Valentine’s al a carte menu and live music by The PastMasters at 10 p.m. Pink and Trotters are both closed. Those that had reservations in either dining room are encouraged to dine in Victory and can make a reservation by calling 201.460.4079.

Saturday’s Meadowlands card will be carried over to next Saturday (Feb. 20).

The Meadowlands Race Office will draw Monday morning as scheduled for Friday (Feb. 19).
