Columbus, OH — Following a three-horse accident near the finish of the seventh race at The Meadowlands on Saturday night (May 29), Meadowlands Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Jason Settlemoir posted this update on his Facebook page.

“I just heard from Joe Bongiorno’s sister (Jenn). Joe has no broken bones and is being observed for the next four hours at the hospital. Andy McCarthy is more than halfway home and he told me he feels better now. Doug (McNair) continued on with his driving assignments.

Both Yacht Seelster and Pat Stanley N are okay, just a few scrapes, unfortunately Incredible Shark had to be euthanized.”
