Washington, PA — The Meadows Racetrack & Casino has canceled Friday’s (September 9) card as the track continues to repair damage to the racing surface caused by heavy, persistent rain.

A decision will be announced later today on the status of qualifying races scheduled for Saturday morning.

The Meadows and all its off-track facilities remain open for simulcasting.

Live racing is set to resume Monday (September 12), when The Meadows hosts the Pennsylvania Stallion Series 3-year-old championships. Each of the four finals offers a $40,000 purse. First post Monday is 12:55 p.m.
