Washington, PA — The Meadows Racetrack & Casino announced today that it has launched a Facebook page devoted exclusively to its harness racing product and designed to provide an exciting new environment for the enjoyment of that product. The page can be accessed through the track’s website, www.meadowsgaming.com/racetrack.

“We are committed to fully utilizing on-line platforms and social media to introduce harness racing to, and promote racing among, younger audiences,” said Mike Jeannot, president, Meadows Racing.

The Meadows Racing Facebook page will offer the following features:

• The typical Facebook “wall” to post comments and share information with friends;
• A selection of YouTube video related to Standardbred races;
• A calendar of upcoming events and promotions;
• Special offers exclusively for The Meadows Racing Facebook “friends.”
• Scheduled real-time chats that will provide “friends” the chance to share handicapping ideas and form an on-line Meadows community.

The Meadows currently stages four live cards each week, with first post Monday and Tuesday at 12:55 p.m. and Wednesday and Friday cards underway at 6:55 p.m. On Mondays and Tuesdays in May, the track is offering Pick 4 wagers with guaranteed pools of $5,000 in association with the United States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program.
