Meadow Lands, PA — A total of 123 horses have been nominated to four late closing series at The Meadows, with each series offering an estimated purse of $25,000 to $35,000 for the final.

The first series, called the Murtland Avenue after a prominent thoroughfare in Washington, Pa., features 3- and 4-year-old colt, horse and gelding pacers and kicks off on Monday, March 10, with four divisions. It’s the most heavily subscribed series, with 51 nominations and 36 entered for the first leg.

The other series — one each for colt and gelding trotters, filly and mare pacers, and filly and mare trotters — begin later this week. Each series includes two legs and a final, with $10,000 purses for each division in the preliminary legs.

All finals will be contested the week of March 24.
