Columbus, OH — Aaron Merriman, North America’s leading dash-winning driver in 2017 with 360 victories, added to that total in a big way over the last two racing days at Northfield Park.

Aaron Merriman won eight races on each of the last two cards at Northfield Park.

On Tuesday (April 25), Merriman won eight races at the northeast Ohio oval and then duplicated that feat once again on Wednesday (April 26).

Merriman had a start in each of Northfield’s 15 races on Tuesday and posted eight wins, three seconds and one third. Then on Wednesday, Merriman won eight times and added a second in 12 trips to the post.

Merriman in seeking his third consecutive North American dash title this year. He won a career-best 891 races last year, on the heels of posting 874 victories in 2015 and 841 in 2014. Horses driven by Merriman earned $7.67 million in purses last year, topping his previous high of $7.42 million set in 2015.
