Michael Luchento, 59, dies

Columbus, OH — Michael Luchento, 59, of Manalapan, New Jersey, died at Cranbury Center, Monroe on Friday (May 12). Born in Jersey City, he was a resident of Parlin, prior to taking up residence in Manalapan.

Luchento was employed as a valet to the harness drivers by Freehold Raceway for two decades and is the brother of former New Jersey Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association (SBOANJ) president, Thomas Luchento, who is currently a director of that organization.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday (May 16) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday (May 17) at 10 a.m. at Mercy Catholic Church, Englishtown. Burial will follow the mass at Old Tennet Cemetery, Manalapan.
