Michael Sorentino, 74, dies

Columbus, OH — Michael Sorentino, 74, died June 28, 2011.

Mr. Sorentino developed Sor Mal Construction in 1969 and grew it into one of the most well respected plastering and construction companies in New York City.

Another passion in his life was his love of horses and horse racing, that he shared with his son, Michael, and dear friend, Hugo Iodice. The three of them worked side by side to build a stable that has been recognized by all in the business for the last 30 years.

Mr. Sorentino is survived by his wife, Sadie; daughter, Donna (John) Storte; son, Michael (Maria); son-in-law, Michael Russin; grandchildren, Jessica, Sallyann Storte, Daniela, John Storte, Michael, Scott Storte and Natalia; and sisters, Vivian Indiviglio, Dorothy Ross and Mary Courtney. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sadie and Michael; brother, Charles; and daughter, Sallyann Russin.
