Mike Kimelman steps down as president of Blue Chip Farms

Blue Chip Farms press release

Wallkill, NY — Mike Kimelman, president of Blue Chip Farms, announced on Tuesday (Oct 7) that he is resigning his position at the New York Standardbred nursery but plans to continue working in harness racing.

“I am resigning as president of Blue Chip Farms, but I will continue to be involved with the farm at least through the Harrisburg sale. The farm had a great sale in Lexington and I know there will be many more great sales,” said Kimelman. “I’d like to thank Blue Chip owner Tom Grossman for the opportunity to help resurrect the farm founded by my family many years ago. It’s been a privilege to work with Tom and the staff at the farm, and raise all the wonderful horses we’ve raised, and work with great stallions.

“It’s been a thrill to be involved with Art Major, Credit Winner, Bettor’s Delight, and the Bellino family’s Rock N Roll Heaven, and to assist Brittany Farms with the management of American Ideal, and Winbak Farms with Shadow Play, and the Antonacci family and Preferred Equine Marketing with Crazed,” Kimelman added. “Also, it has been exciting to see the future at Blue Chip with the farm’s young sires Chapter Seven and Roll With Joe.”
